Getting Started - Free 1 hour consultation with a personal trainer

 

At this session your HAVIT personal trainer will be able to discuss your goals with you and define the milestones along the way that tell you that you’re on track. You can also ask questions and tell your personal trainer what kind of exercise you enjoy so that your training programme is something that you look forward to doing and enjoy! You will also receive a free health diagnosis and lifestyle analysis.
We’re pretty confident you will love our services and want to get going, but there is no obligation to go ahead if you decide it’s not for you.

Your Personal Training Programme

 

Once you decide to go ahead, your HAVIT personal trainer will produce a personal training programme to meet your personal needs. This will include the number of sessions needed per week and the form that your personal training will follow.

Nutrition

Just a like a car, the fuel you put in makes a big difference on performance, which is why as part of working with a HAVIT personal trainer, you will also be provided with nutritional tips and a weekly food plan, which will help you to further achieve your aims. What your personal training programme will include


Depending on your fitness level and experience, your personal training programme will include a combination of: resistance training, flexibility, core stability and cardiovascular training. This can include body weight exercises, the use of gym equipment and any of the following activities:

Running
Nothing burns calories like a good run and it’s much more fun to run with someone. A running session with your personal trainer as part of your training programme can help you to quickly achieve results such as, weight loss.

Cycling
Another excellent way to burn calories, de-stress and get some fresh air! This is also excellent for those who find running too hard on their body. Your personal trainer will use a range of techniques to ensure you get a maximum work out from your cycling session.

Stretching
Stretching improves flexibility, helps to prevent injury, improve posture, circulation and muscle recovery from working out, and is  an essential part of any personal fitness training.

Core Stability Workouts
The body’s core muscle group is essential for any activity where movement is involved. Core stability workouts are designed to strengthen your core so that you can progress your fitness. This includes the use of the Swiss ball, an extremely versatile, fun piece of equipment traditionally used for injury recovery.

Circuit Training
Circuit Training improves endurance, cardiovascular fitness, strength and helps weight loss by targeting all muscle groups in a fun, fast paced work out. Time flies with this fun, varied workout and you will quickly see the benefits.

Boxercise
Boxercise is a fantastic fun way to improve your cardio vascular fitness and lose weight. One to one sessions are fast paced, fun and an effective stress buster.

Kettlebells
Originally used by the Russian army, the ketttlbell is an extremely effective strength and conditioning tool. Lose weight, get stonger and improve your CV fitness all in one. The Kettlebell has to be tried to be believed.

 

Location/venues

 

There are a range of locations we can use for your training sessions and we can even vary it each session to keep the personal training programme varied for you.

·    Local gym: Training in a gym is ideal for muscle and strength gain. HAVIT personal trainers have access to the following gyms in Brighton and Hove: Riptide, Fitforall and Cheetahs*. *A small fee is payable per session to the gym

·    Portable gym: We have a range of portable gym equipment which means we can work at your home or places, such as, outside on a playing field, Hove lawns on Brighton seafront, or another venue.

·    Outdoor Venue: For running and cycling we can use a variety of venues and locations that are convenient and ideal for personal training.

Supporting your training programme

 

To keep your body healthy while you are training and so as to avoid injury, we also recommend regular Sports Massage sessions which can be carried out by your HAVIT personal trainer. Click here to find out more.
